Had anyone oiled the dough before fridge?

Is it ok to coat the dough in olive oil before setting in the fridge? I’m not going to make the pizza for a few days and I didn’t want the dough to dry out. Curious if anyone did this? It seemed weird to me not to coat with a layer of olive oil. Well, I just did so will see in a few days if it caused a problem.

I always coat my pizza dough with oil before putting it in the fridge. It's a good idea because, as you say, it keeps the dough from drying out. ;o)

Usually, since the dough contains oil - there isn't a big problem with it sticking to the bowl. If it did, it would also be a little easier to get out of a bowl than a plastic ziplock type bag. But they do mention lightly oiling the bag, so I don't think it would hurt anything if you opted to lightly grease a storage bowl. I prefer a silicon baggie, and I oil the dough lightly first because it's easier to do that than to oil the bag- but you do you. It isn't going to hurt the dough either way, and I mean, dang- it's homemade pizza dough. If that isn't enough selling point, then I don't know what to say :)
