Cut up a whole chicken instead?

Can I just cut up a whole chicken for this recipe? Thank you

Buy 2 chickens if you need more "good" parts, and freeze the back and the wings separately to be used later.....

Yes however it will be a trickier bake since different chicken parts have different target internal temperatures.

Most notably the breasts need to come out around 150 °F whereas the thighs should be closer to 170 °F. Use an instant read thermometer for best results.
