Can you cook a sirloin tip roast using the "oven off" method for cooking rib roast

Can you cook a sirloin tip roast using the "oven off" method for cooking rib roast? I'm wondering if this fabulous method of cooking rib roast will work for a sirloin tip roast. Thanks!

If it is based off of the ATK's oven off method using eye of round which is quite lean. I think it will work with sirloin tip roast. You will need to slice the meat thinly and against the grain.

I would not .. sirloin is much leaner than a rib roast, I think I’d be more inclined to roast it fast and hot then take it out when it’s ~10 degrees below the desired doneness / temp. Where a rib roast can bathe in its own fatty glory, a sirloin doesn’t have that luxury.
