how much does an average russet potato weigh?

I just weighed several of the potatoes in my bag of russets and they're all between 5.5 and 6 ounces. Hope that helps!

Could be anywhere from 1/2 lb to one pound. How much does Ronald McDonald's quarter pounder weigh? Not as much as a russet potato.
