Urgent! A question about a recipe: Grown-Up Birthday Cake

I have a question about step 6 on the recipe "Grown-Up Birthday Cake" from Midge. It says:

"Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until cake tester comes out clean. Cool on wire racks."

do you evenly divide the batter between 2 pans? Or do you cut the cake into 2 layers after baking? thanks!

Thank you for catching that omission. It should be 2 9-inch cake pans. I just fixed the recipe. Hope you enjoy the cake!
