Any ideas for what do do with a very large piece of sugar cane?

Sugarcane skewers for shrimp on the grill. Swizzle sticks for fancy boat drinks.
I like to just chew it.
You can use it as a sweetener in stir fries.
You can chop it up puree it in your food processor. Then put the pulp into a cloth and squeeze out the juice. Boil that down and you get some dark brown sugar syrup with lots of molasses flavor in it.
