Is homemade (sesame) halva safe for shipping? Want to make some for a friend but not clear if it needs to stay chilled.

In Europe it is sold on the unrefrigerated shelves. It contains quite a bit of sugar in general, and that preserves it well. But because of that sugar, make sure you moisture proof your wrapping because it will otherwise get sticky and dense.
