Sardines, Hummus, Toast
Author Notes: Inspired by Tartine Bread's much more elegant version - Nicholas
Serves 3
- a small bowl of hummus (left to your discretion)
- 2 cans of sardines, 4 oz
- 1 loaf of country bread
- Toast slices of bread. Rub with garlic, if desired. If you have cilantro or parsley, chop coarsely and mix with the hummus.
- Spread hummus thickly on toast. Pile sardines on top. Sprinkle with smoked paprika, if you have it.
