Vine Shuts Down Today, but It's Not Too Late to Watch These Food Vines

January 17, 2017

Today's the day. After announcing their death via a somber, terse Medium post last October, Vine, the Twitter-owned social network that lets users upload six-second videos that play on loop, is shutting down.

The internet's been awash with obituaries and postmortems for this soon-to-be-shuttered service. In a few hours, Vine will fold itself into an app called "Vine Camera," though Vines created over the past few years will still live online. (Jury's out on what exactly Vine Camera is, and who asked for it.) It's a pretty awful loss, particularly for the young creators who've established personalities on the platform.

Anyway, here are some of our favorite vines that have—even somewhat tangentially—to do with food. This list is by no means exhaustive! Head over to your nearest Krispy Kreme and savor these in the next few hours, before the Vine we've known is gone.

Oh, Bobby Flay! What'd we miss? Let us know in the comments.
