It actually looks like glitter in the Dubai video! I'd prefer salt, so Amanda and Mario both win in my opinion.

Love them both for making me smile. While the eye candy at the end had great technique, it was way under salted. But yeah, I'd still watch him cook anytime.

I was thinking in the middle of the night about the artichoke technique. I might attempt making the Sicilian style artichokes that are so popular in NOLA and giving it a whirl.

Have you made them before? Let us know if there is something different about them.

Having worked in the industry, I have seen cooks and chefs do all kinds of interesting things such as this, or dancing around in circles while they flip food, or flip pancakes sky high, or maybe bartenders/servers pouring coffee in super long thin streams from almost over their heads, or so forth. Maybe a guy thing?

Amanda will always win in my book. Thanks for putting a smile on my face first thing in the morning.

Love when #saltbae twirls the chine around his finger before tossing it away, but, Amanda + Mario, you've got the salt moves! I'd love to adopt the "gotcha punk" at home but sadly I'd bash into my sink if I tried to keep walking. *sigh*

Thank you! Loved the new itechniques to improve the food that I cut up and place on wooden boards.

Winsichgirl, don't you think the Crocs technique would be useful for when you run out of truffle salt for your wooden board love?

None of you can hold a candle to my childhood babysitter, Concetta "we don't need no stinkin' recipe" Lamanna. She would vocalize while salting...stews and red gravy would get a "zinga-ZING" but eggs, needing a firm start but a delicate finish, would get a "ZINGA-zing." Followed by Rossini arias, of course...

Clearly The Lebron delivers the appropriate amount of seasoning with just enough flair. It's the drop-the-mic move.

Sorry Amanda, I gotta go with the Choke-n-ator. It was inventive, brought in a whole new character, and very stylish. And your artichokes are now pre-salted so now you have a jump on preparing dinner.

Thanks for the April morning laugh! I know you two are professionals, but I have to try this at home!

I gotta go with SaltBae. Combined with his knife techniques, his salting method is the perfect finish. Plus, the whole package, looks, knife technique, and salt flourish, is an unbeatable combination. (I really think the salt thing is just theater. At some other point, someone takes more care with the seasoning.)
