what really gets me is i am an established potter but i don't work with fancy galleries. i just sell locally and i throw all my pieces individually. i use a fine english porcelain clay and rarely slipcast. my pedestal cake plates sell for $50. now i wonder if people inn ew hampshire (my home state) are willing to cough up more dollars for my work. looks like some people do.............

I found a similar one at a Tuesday Morning for $30. If money is no object, go for it, but I"ll keep my cheap one.

Rounding up, $200 for a cake plate? Seriously?

It's like window shopping....you look, and dream, but you don't buy ;)

Right, the virtual window.

The only thing going on in my head is the scratching.

have you gone to the Frances Palmer Pottery website and looked at the handmade ceramic pieces? Some are literally swoon-worthy.

It is beautiful. I can't see spending $190 on a cake plate, though...
