I'm a self-professed HGTV and interior design fanatic, so believe me when I say I spend a lot of time browsing Airbnb listings. I love to travel, and as someone who is still pretty far away from home ownership, I get a thrill from vacationing in a full-sized house.

I currently share an apartment with three other people, and I often find myself craving a kitchen roomy enough to accommodate all of us at the same time. So, whenever I peruse luxurious Airbnb listings, I’m always looking for jaw-dropping kitchens—unique architectural features, premium appliances, sweeping views...you get the idea.

So whether you’re dreaming of a romantic getaway in Paris or want a tropical abode that can fit your whole family, we’ve got you covered. From breathtaking seaside views to centuries-old stonework, here are nine Airbnb listings with some of the most amazing kitchens we’ve ever seen.

Best Airbnb Kitchens

1. Eco-luxury, family-friendly villa in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

Does it get any better than cooking a meal in a dreamy, tropical open-air kitchen? Dine with your loved ones at a massive teak table, then take a dip in the adjacent pool and enjoy lush jungle views. And if you want to let someone else do the cooking, the hosts are happy to make arrangements.

2. Historic Georgian Lakeside Mansion in Coventry, England

Dreaming of a Downton Abbey-esque getaway? This Airbnb has all the charm of a Lady Mary-approved manor, with all of the modern conveniences you need to serve a five-course meal—or just host a cocktail hour. Dig in with a few of your closest loved ones and friends on the property's outdoor dining table.

3. A Charming Gem in Downtown Copenhagen

If you’re a sucker for Scandinavian design, spend a week away with your loved ones in these dreamy digs. What this kitchen lacks in size, it makes up for with gorgeous lighting and that airy feeling we expect from Danish interiors.

4. Trullo del 1800 in Valle d'Itria, Cisternino, Brindisi, Italy

History buffs will love staying in this centuries-old trullo. The whitewashed kitchen has rustic elements that make this Airbnb fit right in with the Italian countryside, and you’ll feel like you’re stepping back in time whether you’re making pancakes or pasta. Plus, the indoor fireplace will instantly up the cozy factor if you’re traveling in cooler weather.

5. Architectural Masterpiece with Roof Deck in Venice, California

Have you ever seen so much counter space? This is the kind of kitchen I dream of while I chop onions at my kitchen table. You’ll love cooking on the Viking range, and a dishwasher will definitely come in handy when you're cooking for a large group. I mean, at the end of the day you’re on vacation—you shouldn’t have to put on rubber dishwashing gloves.

6. Kai’s Kitchen in Paris

You don’t need an excuse to take a trip to the City of Light—but a long weekend is definitely a good one. Cuddle up with loved ones over a cup of chocolate chaud at Angelina, then come home to this cozy Airbnb and get cooking. This home is made for food lovers, and there’s a dining table that’s nearly 10-feet-long—so whether you’re making dinner for two or 12, there’s room for everyone.

7. Lake House Home in Wilson, Wyoming

Looking to hit the slopes and get your gourmet on? This cozy Wyoming home is less than 15 minutes from Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park, so you can enjoy everything the mountains have to offer and still come home to a premium kitchen, complete with a wine fridge and six-burner stove.

8. Cinematographic Mansion with Private Beach in Angra dos Reis, Brazil

Bet you never thought you’d have a giant boulder in your kitchen. While you’re cooking, you can drink in pool and ocean views complete with plenty of lush palm trees, and stay cool thanks to tiled floors and walls. Since this kitchen is an open-concept, you can mix and mingle with your friends and family whether you’re shaking up caipirinhas or snacking on brigadeiro.

9. The Mazant in New Orleans, Louisiana

Everything is better in NOLA. Even though this kitchen has all the modern fixtures you could want, you'll find tons of historic detail throughout this 1880s mansion, from the elegant dining room to the cozy-chic living room. And hey, what better way to kick off a vacation than with beignets and chicory coffee?

10. Industrial-Modern Home in Austin, Texas

We can easily picture ourselves cooking up a Texas-size feast in this airy, industrial kitchen with warm wood accents. And on days or nights when the weather isn't too sizzling-hot, you can even open up the garage door and seamlessly move between in the kitchen and patio.

11. Centrally Located Loft in Amsterdam

This super-spacious, ultra-modern loft might be in the heart of Amsterdam's city center, but we bet you'll want to be spending most of your time in the heart of the space—the kitchen. With all the counter space you could ever dream of, plus an indoor fireplace, this cooking space is sure to be the scene of some pretty epic meals.

12. Old City Mansion in Cartagena, Colombia

Whip up a meal in between dips in the pool in this one-of-a-kind indoor-outdoor kitchen space featuring gorgeous stonework, modern appliances, and natural foliage. After a stay at this Airbnb, you're pretty much guaranteed to find yourself calmer and more relaxed than when you came.

13. Family-Friendly Oasis in Sydney, Australia

This laid-back Airbnb makes the perfect home base for exploring all that Sydney has to offer, from museums and beaches to zoos and A+ dining options. Speaking of dining options, one of the very best can be found right inside this gourmet, light-filled kitchen, provided you've got someone who likes to cook in your group.

That first kitchen... the one in Bali... Can you say b-b-b-bugs galore?

Dean S. October 20, 2018
Surprisingly not many bugs in Bali, even in late August. Stayed in villas with open air dinning and kitchens and barely saw a mosquito.

Thanks for sharing... I'm from Florida, the land of bugs, large and small!
