Oh, I thought you meant "fair" as in "excellent," "good," "fair" and "poor," so my best fair food is a plain mixed green salad. It becomes good if you add some gorgonzola cheese, raisins, pine nuts and chopped sweet peppers. It moves into excellent territory when you top it all off with a freshly made fig-balsamic vinaigrette seasoned with salt, pepper and chopped parsley. Enjoy, but don't ask me for my best "poor" recipe. :-)

Oh, I thought you meant "fair" is in "excellent," "good," "fair" or "poor"--so I would say my best fair food is a mixed green salad with nothing on it. It becomes good food if you add some feta cheese, olives, onions, and bacon bits, and it turns into excellent if you top the whole thing with some pine nuts and freshly made olive oil-fig balsamic glaze vinaigrette with fresh parsley sprigs.

I'm not sure why two versions of this posted, but I had to go back and log in and when I returned I had to rewrite the whole thing from memory.

I have one for you..."Deep fried Twinkies and Snickers will be the downfall of mankind--in a good way!" Our Puyallup State Fair is coming up here in Washington and there's none better.
