Here are the top 5 recipes from our community starring beautiful summer fruit!

In our latest recipe contest, we asked our community members to share their best recipes starring summer fruit. The entries were thoughtful and creative, ranging from sweet fruit pies to savory salsas and salads. (And thank you for remembering that cucumbers and tomatoes are fruits, too!) It was a tough process—not really, we love summer fruit—but we narrowed the field down to five recipes you're going to want to try as you pick up the last of summer's sweet bounty.

1. No Bake Goat Cheese Cheesecake With Summer Fruit Swirl by ostreetkitchen - Becca Jacobs

This inventive dessert uses just the right amount of goat cheese to give the dish an elegant twist. And we really loved that Becca Jacobs gives you the option to use any summer fruit you find at its peak: Both figs and blueberries worked wonderfully in our testing.

2. Plum Summer Squash Phyllo Samosas by Meera Bhave

It's not always easy to strike the right balance between sweet, savory, and spicy in a recipe, but Meera Bhave succeeds brilliantly in this appetizer. Sweet summer plums stand up to a bold amount of coriander and cumin, with cheddar cheese bringing all the parts together. Meera's recipe uses two jalapeños, but we found that one was plenty spicy—up to you!

3. Cucumber Ginger Mint Agua Fresca by Mannaandspice

This sweet, refreshing summer drink is the perfect cooler for sipping poolside or for winding down after a hot day. The ginger and lime complement, rather than overwhelm, the summer fruit star of this recipe: cucumber. And we love that you could easily adjust the recipe to taste, using whatever fruits and herbs strike your fancy.

4. Rye & Black Tea Peach Cobbler by kkemme

Food52 community member kkemme takes fruit cobbler to the next level by incorporating rye flour and black tea into a delicious crumble topping that comes together in a snap. The earthiness of the rye flour is the perfect partner to sweet, juicy summer peaches. If your peaches are very sweet (like ours were), you might want to cut back a bit on the sugar.

5. Squeaky Fresh Burrata & Grilled Peach Salad by Elaine Lemm

This simple summer salad exemplifies the principle of using good ingredients. Rich, creamy burrata and super-fragrant grilled peaches are combined with an herby pesto (definitely worth it to make your own), resulting in a beautiful dish that is way more than the sum of its parts.
