You know I like this idea. Right now I'm just using an old plastic food container but it never stays closed

I kind of get the sanity thing @Jackie :) As a work from home, rural living person (1 human in the house), the freezer is my friend for bulky items (meats, veg, fruit) as well as what I call deconstructed meals: beans, rice, cooked meat, broths, etc. At any rate, it is always full and various things have helped me organize it in a way that takes away a lot of annoyance about finding things (souper cubes being a favorite).
Re ice - I don't ice any drinks and am happy using the goofy crescents from the icemaker for cold water bath purposes as well as blending to make Frappes. The filter and my own very good well water make good tasting ice cubes ... to me at least. BUT, I like the look of the Lekue and went to Amazon to see options.
So, a fun thing (well, I think it is!) ... Lekue makes a tray that makes penguin shaped ice as well as a shell tray and I think there might be more. I might have to go for a penguin tray!
