Introduced during a current climate of health consciousness, the Bacon Sundae - a fat-laden confection comprised of fudgy soft serve strewn with bacon bits - raises a few questions. Following so close on the heels of proposed soft drink and foie gras bans, the release of such a profoundly unhealthy menu item feels, as the New Yorker puts it, awkward, and as such, has received controversial reviews.
