Having grown up watching Julia Child every Saturday morning with my Father, I became quite an early fan. We laughed at her strong wit, were in awe of her fearless cooking, and adored her relentless love for butter. But beyond these memorable attributes, it seems that Julia had quite a lot of wisdom to share with us young, aspiring cooks outside of the kitchen. Quite simply, on how to eat. One of her secrets? Eat what you like. And after what would be her 100th birthday this week, Tamar Adler shares with us how she thinks we can be "Learning How to Eat Like Julia Child."

I'd sure like someone to explain how/why the concept of eating what you like is novel, newsworthy, or a secret. I mean, really. ;o)
