Artisanal Ice Cream Gone Wrong

We’re celebrating all things ice cream this week, so it’s only natural that we dive into the weirder side of the frozen treat. Of course, unexpectedly delicious flavors are nothing new. Sweet corn, wasabi, black licorice – unusual ingredients can make for some memorable results.

But shellfish-flavored ice cream?

Technically, the flavor is a zesty lime with flecks of geoduck mixed in, a species of clam found near Washington state. If “flecks of shellfish” doesn’t make you salivate, you’re not alone. Check out the write-up, and sample if you must.
