Wine First, Cheese Later

Pairing a cheese plate with wine is an exercise much like matching your clothes -- too many options result in a wave of indecision, and after the ten minutes of obligatory waffling in front of a closet (or cheese case), you default on the same thing you always do. If clothes, this means the worn-in jeans and the comfortable sweater. If cheese? This means brie. 

Next time this happens to you, put down the tired brie, step away from the cheese case, and do as Culture does: plan your after-dinner plate around what you’ll be drinking during the meal. Makes sense, right? Put your dregs to use, impress your guests, everybody wins. Matching your clothes will have to wait until another day.
