Do you mean quinoa? Quinoa is a seed (although it behaves very much like a grain) that is high in protein and other nutrients, with a distinct crunchy texture and a nutty flavor. It's easy to cook and very versatile. Try this great winter recipe: http://www.food52.com/recipes...

Also, quinoa fits in a meal like rice and you cook it as you would cook rice, but you get wholefood nutrition in only 15 or 20 minutes after the water comes to a boil. It's a great last minute addition to a meal.
