Vintage Copper English Chocolate Pot, Late 19th Century
Vintage Copper English Chocolate Pot, Late 19th Century
Brighten up your coffee.
This c.1850 pot-bellied coffee pot with pouring spout is one of our very favorites. It's got all of the details indicative of high-quality of the era: A handcut copper flange and hand rolled cope rivets, an original turned wood handle and copper ring for hanging, an original copper lid and dovetailed seams up the rear and around the underside, and it's even marked on the bottom with the Benham and Froud trademark ""Orb and Cross"". Benham and Froud are one of the most famous metalworkers of England for both their handcraft quality and the 'orb' design, which was adopted because they were the firm who made the present cross on the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral in London.
All items from Coppermill Kitchen are final sale. Items may vary slightly from what is pictured.
