Author Notes: This came verbally from a dear canadien friend....he called it 'peasant sugar pie' ...it is so easy...so rich...so good! There are probably as many recipes for 'sugar pie' as there are maple leaves...however, I think this is the best I have ever had! —Cookease
- Into the uncooked pie crust, sprinkle brown sugar (1/2 c)...do not pat down.
- Dirzzle pure maple syrup over the brown sugar...(1/3 c)
- Dot with butter (4 T)
- Add lattice crust
- Bake 350 25 minutes
