Ingredients
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 3 nectarines, pitted and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra-good ouzo
  • 3/4 cup lemon water-- water with a heaping teaspoon of fresh lemon juice added
  • 2 sprigs lemongrass
Directions
  1. For this drink the raspberries serve as your ice cubes, so it workes better if they are frozen.
  2. Whirr the lemon water, frozen raspberries and chopped nectarines in a blender.
  3. Pour a tablespoon of ouzo into each tumbler, pour frozen raspberry slush over it, serve with sprig of lemongrass.
  4. Enjoy!

Oh checker, may I join you on that boozy walkabout? Thanks for the comment and the lovely thought!

Sometimes I feel like I need to walk around with a sign that says “Anise-Lovers Unite!” Instead I’ll just walk around with one of these sippers and raise my glass to anyone who shares the love. Beautiful drink.

Oh, this looks like a keeper! I see myself sipping this in my backyard in the sun...soon. We have arak, would this be a good sub for ouzo? Happy to get some ouzo, too. :)
