Ingredients
  • 6 pounds apples
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon all spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Directions
  1. Place apples in large pan, add water and bring to boil over high heat. Boil until apples break down, upwards of 30 minutes. Mash in pan or puree apples in blender.
  2. Return apples to pan, and add sugar and spices. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a few hours, until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  3. Freeze, or process in water bath for 10 minutes. View more at http://www.localfood.me.
