Author Notes
I love mangoes with a passion. So, inspired by @AbbyDodge's #BakeTogether April event, I baked her basic Angel Food Cake recipe and created my own 2 toppings: Caramel Topping with Mango Flavoring and a Mango Syrup Topping. It made a marvelous mango dessert! —Betty Ann Quirino

Heat the sugar in a heavy saucepan till it turns dark golden brown and will be bubbly, in about 5 to 6 minutes.

At this stage, add the mango juice and tilt the pan around to blend the juice and syrup well.
