A simple, sweet and versatile n a quick treat! It has been given to me by my mother in law,so am not sure of the origin.She has been making it since a very long time.
Enjoy with your cuppa or ice cream !
Or simply drizzle some honey or sauce -chocolate or caramel take your pick!!
A super favorite with kiddies !
A game of 20 mins!! —sucrespice

What You'll Need
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 teaspoons soda bicarb
  • 5 ounces butter
  1. Mix dry ingredients-coconut,oats,sugar,flour,salt.
  2. Boil butter and syrup
  3. Add soda bicarb.
  4. Add dry ingredients.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Press on to a flat baking tray.
  7. Bake for 15 mins in a preheated oven at 180C until golden brown.
