A simple, sweet and versatile n a quick treat! It has been given to me by my mother in law,so am not sure of the origin.She has been making it since a very long time.
Enjoy with your cuppa or ice cream !
Or simply drizzle some honey or sauce -chocolate or caramel take your pick!!

Ingredients

1 cup
shredded coconut
-
1 cup
oats
-
1/2 cup
brown sugar
-
1 cup
cake flour
-
2 tablespoons
golden syrup
-
2 teaspoons
soda bicarb
-
5 ounces
butter
Directions
-
Mix dry ingredients-coconut,oats,sugar,flour,salt.

Boil butter and syrup
-
Add soda bicarb.
-
Add dry ingredients.
-
Mix well.
-
Press on to a flat baking tray.
-
Bake for 15 mins in a preheated oven at 180C until golden brown.
