Author Notes
Hi from Greece! The recipe is nothing special, just the famous Greek salad that visitors eat in Greek restaurants, made in the traditional way. *I wish I knew who invented the recipe, but to me it is impossible —Christiez

Ingredients
-
2
medium-sized tomatoes
-
1
long cuccumber
-
2
green bell peppers
-
1 handful
big, fleshy olives
-
1
medium-sized onion (add more if you like it stronger)
-
1 cup
extra virgin olive oil
-
1-2 cakes
feta cheese
-
2 pinches
sea salt
-
2 pinches
oregano
Directions
-
Cut the tomatoes, onions and peppers in half and slice them.
-
Peel the cuccumber and slice it. If you are lazy, it's OK to leave the cuccumber unpeeled.
-
Add the salt
-
Always at the top: add the olives, then the feta slices, next the olive oil and last the oregano.
-
To eat it like a Greek, buy a loaf of bread (preferably white), grab large bites (directly from the loaf), soak them well into the oil (which, meanwhile will have been mixed with the liquids of the other ingredients) and eat them. We call this process "papara" and this turns the traditional Greek salad from a side-dish to a -very filling- meal alone.
