Danish Almond Cookies

Author Notes: 1 c butter,1c. shortening,2 c. sugar, 4 T heavy cream, 4.5 c. shifted flour,1 tsp.salt 1c. blanched almonds chopped. Cream shortening, add sugar and cream.Add shifted dry ingredients and work the almonds in. Form a lonf roll and chill. Cut in thin slices. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. This time of year brings many memories of baking 100's of cookies with my Mother Mrs. Paulson. Those cooking memories always bring back that great feel of childhood.Terry Forward
