My original classic buttercream frosting


Author Notes: This is the first cake frosting I made when I was 11. Beau tye

Makes 2 cups

  • 1.5 cups Salted butter chilled
  • 1.4 cups Powdered sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Bourbon vanilla extract
  1. Cream butter and sugar by hand until it's airy and has a nice whipped consistency .
  2. Add vanilla 1 tsp at a time while still creaming.
