Author Notes: I created this as a dip to enjoy with the leaves of an artichoke while I was cooking the hearts into this artichoke and fava bean stew: http://food52.com/recipes/17732-artichoke-stew-with-bonus-appetizer. It is equally good on roasted sweet potatoes or cauliflower or spread on toast for a killer steak sandwich with arugula or similar. —savorthis
Makes 1/2 cup (ish)
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (or 1 fillet chopped)
- 1/2 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped
- 1 small squirt Sriracha
- Mix all ingredients well. It is best if you let the flavors marry a little, but is good right away too.
