Author Notes: I really do believe that Duke's Hotel in St James, London, makes one of the best martinis in the world. However, they are the home of the Vesper Martini, which supposedly was developed by Ian Fleming as he sat in Duke's Bar and wrote the first few James Bonds novels. I've watched them make this many times and here is how they do it. Enjoy. —Charles C.
- 4 dashes Bitters
- 2 tablespoons Lillet Blanc
- 2 shots Potachi Vodka
- 2 shots Berry Bros and Rudd, No 3 Gin
- 1 piece Orange Peel
- Make sure vodka, gin and martini glass are stored in the freezer. Take out martini glass, add bitters, Lillet, then vodka and finally gin and garnish with orange peel. Serve immediately.
