Author Notes: A cookie that is a cross between a sugar cookie and almond biscottiRalph

Makes: 12-24 cookies

  • 12 tablespoons Butter softened to room temp
  • 1 1/2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Almond Extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour
  1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy (about 5 minutes)
  2. Add extracts and egg and beat until combined
  3. Add flour, salt, baking soda mix until incorporated. Will have a sugar cookie dough consistency.
  4. Either drop cookies onto parchment or a non stick cookie sheet that hasn't been greased. You can also spread into one big bar and cut into pieces
  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes depending on size of cookies/bars
