Caprese Burger with Avocado

One of my favorite summer salads is a Caprese Salad. I usually serve this salad as a side when having a cookout. It's so light and refreshing yet bursting with flavor. I usually add avocado to the salad as well because, I mean who doesn't love a ripe buttery avocado? One day while grilling I got the genius idea to just combine that delicious salad with a juicy char-grilled burger. Wallah!

Makes: 4 burger

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 Garden Tomato
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Fresh Basil
  • 4 Hamburger Buns
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  1. In a large bowl mix the ground beef, salt, pepper, mozzarella and fresh basil in a bowl.
  2. Make 4 hamburger patties.
  3. Grill burgers until desired doneness.
  4. Top burgers with sliced tomato and avocado. Finish it off with a little drizzle of balsamic vinegar on the top. Mangia!
