Author Notes

You'll never believe that this shake is made with as few ingredients as it is, or that they're all so ridiculously wholesome. Feel free to experiment a little with the non-dairy milk base you use, as well as the nut butter (cashew, coconut, and sunflower seed butter will all work; so will peanut butter, though the taste will be strong). This is a good recipe to treat more as a template than a prescription. —Gena Hamshaw

I've been making these almond-milk-shakes for over 3 years now (once every week or two as an after dinner snack) and my 3 yr old and wife absolutely love them! Thank you!!

First vegan milkshake I've tried and it's better than any cow's milk shake I've had (and I'm not vegan!). 100% recommend you try this, thanks for the recipe!

For us English folk, 1 cup = 236ml :)

Love this recipe for a quick shake that's at least somewhat healthy! I don't like almond butter, but I've been adding grass fed whey protein. May try w/ PB. I love to add a little expresso powder as well!

Oh my... that espresso powder suggestion just put this recipe into the MUST-do pile instead of the WANT-to-do one! Delightful.

Now that I think of it, I have organic coffee-flavored whey powder as well... We're about to go full mocha.
