In summer, breakfast in Sicily, means almond granita on a sweet bun with a spoonful of whipped cream. It's usually made with water and almond paste = almonds+sugar. Oh, and it's supposed to come somewhat soft rather than flakey. —One Lazy Tooth
Ingredients

almonds

2 tablespoons
sugar

1/4 teaspoon
pure vanilla extract

250 milliliters
water
Directions

Place everything in a blender until smooth.

Pour the liquid in an ice cube tray and freeze.

Crush the cubes in an ice crusher. Some blenders can crush ice, too, it will be in the blender's instructions.
