Author Notes: Often times I just like things straight forward, no muss. I muddled the berries with limes and mint until juicy and fragrant. Added a little sweetener and rum. Served as is. This is a sipping drink. And a mighty good one. Cheers! —localhaven
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 lime, cut into wedge
- 10-12 mint leaves
- 1-2 tablespoons agave (optional)
- 4 ounces Rum
- In a large mason jar (or glass) muddle blackberries, lime wedges and mint leaves together. Making sure to fully juice the limes, and release the oils from the mint
- Add the agave (if using) and rum. Give it a quick stir then pour over a fine mesh sieve. Pressing down on the solids with the back of a spoon.
- Serve, if desired, with ice.
