Author Notes: When you are overwhelmed with mint from your backyard or farmers market, there is nothing better to do than to make a warm cup of mint tea. If you are annoyed with fresh mint leaves floating in your tea, use a strainer before enjoying. —sweetheart
- 1 handful fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup boiling water
- honey to taste
- Squeeze your mint in your hand once firmly and partially rip the leaves to let out their aroma. Push them to the bottom of your mug.
- Pour in your boiling water and let the mint steep for 5 minutes. Stir in honey to taste. The mint should settle towards the bottom as you drink.
