Author Notes: Summer is somewhere.
Tangy, slightly sweet, refreshing and very easy to make.

Serves: 2

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (one Meyer lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 teaspoon sweet basil seeds
  1. Put 1 tsp sweet basil seeds into a glass with 1/2 cup of water. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Squeeze out juice from the lemon into a bowl, remove seeds.
  3. Stir in 2 tbs of honey. (a whisk will help)
  4. Add 1 1/2 cup of water.
  5. Taste it and decide if you want it sweeter.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  7. Divide sweet basil seeds mix and lemonade among 2 glasses.
