Hoisin BBQ Sauce

An Asian spin on Kansas City-style barbecue sauce, this makes a delicious mop for baby backs or spareribs. —kikukat

  • Makes 3 1/2 cups
Ingredients
  • 14 ounces ketchup
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rock salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
In This Recipe
Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together. Use as needed. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes about 4 cups.
  2. One rack of baby back ribs will use 1/2-3/4 cup of sauce.
