Author Notes: An Asian spin on Kansas City-style barbecue sauce, this makes a delicious mop for baby backs or spareribs. —kikukat
Makes 3 1/2 cups
cup hoisin sauce
tablespoons rock salt
tablespoon grated ginger
tablespoons sesame oil
tablespoons liquid smoke
- Mix all ingredients together. Use as needed. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes about 4 cups.
- One rack of baby back ribs will use 1/2-3/4 cup of sauce.
