Author Notes

A fruitier friend of the margarita, this drink is meant to be shared outdoors: in backyards, at barbecues, or on the beach. For this version, we used a simple combination of fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, and tequila blanco. (Fresh pineapple juice is essential—the lime juice will overpower it if you go with a weaker canned version.) To keep the punch cool, you could add an ice ring like we did. Scale this up or down for how many guests you'll be hosting! —Samantha Weiss Hills

This was quite good and I would make it again. I used canned pineapple juice. We did add little agave syrup to mellow out the tart lime juice. My only criticism would be that I didn't think this made enough for 10 servings, I'd say it was closer to six. Thank you for the recipe. This made our Cinco de mayo party.

This sounds fantastic, but where on earth do you get fresh Pineapple juice?

If you can get your hands on a fresh pineapple (or even chopped pineapple at the grocery, I suggest using this method! https://food52.com/blog/9933-how-to-juice-without-a-juicer
