Fish cooked in tangy curry with lemon and tamarind —jaffarsfeast

onion

tomatoes

2 teaspoons
ginger garlic paste

1 teaspoon
red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon
turmeric

1/2 teaspoon
Salt

1 teaspoon
cumin powder

1 teaspoon
coriander powder

3 teaspoons
tamarind soaked

1/2 teaspoon
garam masala

1/4 bunch
coriander leaves

1/4 bunch
mint leaves
Directions
-
marinate fish with salt, chilli powder and lemon juice for 20 min
-
deep fry in oil, remove keep aside
-
for curry heat oil in deep pan add onion saute till golden brown
-
add tomato, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt saute for few min
-
remove from heat grind to smooth paste
-
add to same pan add tamarind paste and 2 cup water cook till boil
-
add garam masala mix
-
add fried fish pieces in gravy
-
add chopped coriander and mint leaves
-
garnish with coriander leaves and dry red chili
-
serve hot with coconut rice
