Cut melons in half, remove seeds and rind and cut into chunks. Process melon, in batches, in a food processor or blender until smooth. Pour into a large bowl or pitcher. Cut limes in half and squeeze juice into melon mixture. Add 6 cups of water and half the sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Taste to determine if you need to add additional water or sugar.
Add mint sprigs and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Add ice and serve.
