I love this recipe. I've been making it for years and it is my family's favorite. It is so easy and delicious. Having said that, I don't mind if the cake falls. I like the rustic look. Sometimes I fill the center with whipped cream. Thank you for the recipe!

Very good. Used a springform pan. Cake definitely fell, even though I followed the recipe exactly as written. That said, I will absolutely make this again—delicious!

This cake is wonderful, exactly as is, especially with the rosemary-infused whipped cream. I served the red wine and cardamom pears along with the cake and drizzled the reduced red wine (I didn't use the cloves and cardamom but used a split vanilla bean) onto the whipped cream. It was heavenly. It was a perfect celebration dessert.

This cake was delicious. I used baker's chocolate, but followed the rest and was really happy. I made this in a 9" round baking pan and nearly ended up with cake all over my oven, though. Perhaps I just did something wrong, but I'd be careful, or maybe try a 10". I would also suggest a spring form pan! My cake stuck like crazy, but it was so good that no one minded that my cake was a mess.
