Author Notes: This particular smoothie comes from one of my favorite bloggers, Minimalist Baker, and is so refreshing and absolutely perfect for a hot summer day. The lime adds a beautiful brightness to the drink that perfectly compliments the sweetness of the watermelon and strawberries. Adding almond milk and chia seeds give some creaminess and protein, as well as healthy antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. —The Traveling Bean
- 1 1/2 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and black seeds removed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup plain unsweetened almond milk
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend on high until completely emulsified, about 30 seconds.
