Author Notes: Date and Comté Bites are my Ace-in-the-Hole when I'm scrambling, heading to a party, and need a dish that's delicious+simple. I strongly recommend sticking to salty, nutty cheeses like gruyere or comté to balance out the rich sweetness of the dates. —The Bee Lake
- 8 Dates, Medjool
- 4 ounces Comté cheese, cut into 1 inch long strips
- 2 Celery stalks, cut into 1 inch long strips
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- pinch teaspoons Cayenne
- Slice dates lengthwise. Do not cut all the way through, leaving one end intact. Place one piece of cheese and celery into each date. Drizzle honey and a pinch of cayenne over each piece. Enjoy!
