I was out of agave syrup so I went for maple. —clintonhillbilly

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces anejo tequila
  • 1 ounce maple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, pepper, sugar
Directions
  1. Fill a martini glass with ice cubes and set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, maple syrup, and lemon juice.
  3. Pour ice cubes into cocktail shaker.
  4. Combine salt, sugar, and pepper on a plate, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Wet rim of martini glass and place glass into salt-sugar-pepper mixture to coat the rim.
  6. Shake cocktail shaker vigourously until ice cold, and pour into martini glass.
