  • 1 sliced yellow onion
  • 4 cloves sliced garlic
  • 2 rims EVOO
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (regular size)
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 can water
  • 2 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • pepper
  • 1/2 bunch fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 box Whole Wheat pasta
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small yellow onion minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Parsley
  1. Make gravy first.
  2. Cook all gravy ingredients over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400.
  4. Form meatballs out of meatball ingredients. Spray aluminum foil with nonstick spray. Cook 15 minutes. Turn. Cook another 15 minutes.
  5. When meatballs are done, put them in the gravy and cook another 30 minutes on medium/low heat. (If you want to add chicken sausage, add it raw at this time with the meatballs.) Get your pasta started.
  6. Add fresh chopped basil in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
