basil chicken with brown rice

this is persian /turkish can be made with beef or lamb shanks.this dish is great with steemed rice . —niki nikoui

What You'll Need
  • 4 pieces chicken
  • 3 bunches basil
  • 3 bunches green parts of beets
  • 1 onion
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and paper
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • Pinch safron
  1. wash the greens and chopped them with onion and saute them with olive oil in a pan for about 15 to 20 min.add the chicken pieces and continue saute.add half cup water and thelime juice salt and paper and chopped tomato and cover for half hour or until chickin is cooked at the end add pinch if safraon. serve with hot steemed rice.

This sounds so tasty! It's definitely on my "Must Try Soon" list. I bet a firm fish would be delicious in this sauce, too. Very nicely done! ;o)
