Guvnah's Black Beans

Serves: 4

  • 2 cans black beans (rinsed)
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatos
  • 2 peppers in adobo sauce
  • Big dollop pureed garlic
  • cumin
  • thyme
  • chili powder
  • turmeric
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fresh cilantro
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 lime
  • sour cream
  1. Saute onion in olive oil. Add seasonings and allow to get smokey.
  2. Add beans. Add about can water.
  3. Add rest of ingredients.
  4. When finished, cut off heat and squeeze in fresh juice of one lime.
  5. Garnish with cilantro, cheddar cheese, sour cream.
